HOW DO I GET TO THE TAIL WINDS MUSIC FEST?

 

Driving:

Dutchess County Airport in Wappingers Falls, NY is located just a few miles south of downtown Poughkeepsie, NY. Our venue is 75 miles from NYC and 90 miles from Albany and Hartford. Click here for customized driving directions.

Train:

The Tail Winds Music Fest will be working with Uber to give all music fest goers a discount to go to and from the New Hamburg Train Station (Metro-North)!

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

\\WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

The Tail Winds Music Fest is a "Rain or Shine" event.  Please make sure to check the weather forecast and come prepared for wet weather.  There will be a very large tent set-up towards the back of the music fest field called the "Main Hanger" which is available for all general admission ticket holders on a first come first serve basis.  In addition to your ticket, you also have the option to rent one of the 25 exclusive 12ft x 12ft tent sections in "Tent Alley" for the day.  You do NOT have to bring a tent, we will provide the tent for the day.  See the ticketing section to book one of the 25 "Tent Alley" spots.   

 

 

\\CAN I BRING CHAIRS AND BLANKETS?

Yes, you are welcome to bring folding chairs and picnic blankets.  No chairs that stand taller than 36" are allowed. however please be advised that there will be "NO" pop-up tents allowed on the field and there is a "No-Chair Zone" directly in front of the stage in the music fest field.

\\WHAT IS THERE TO EAT & DRING AND CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD?

We will be bringing in a great variety of food vendors from the Hudson Valley and will be serving up a variety of craft and domestic beer options, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. We will NOT be allowing any outside food or beverages into the festival.

 

 

\\CAN I COME & GO THROUGHOUT THE DAY?

We do NOT allow re-entry throughout the day. Once you leave the festival grounds, you can't return. General and VIP Parking Lots are NOT considered part of the festival grounds - so you won't be able to visit your car throughout the day.  We will have a locker service once you enter the music fest that will allow you to purchase and store your personal items for the day.  You can purchase your locker ahead of time by clicking Here;  

 

 

\\WILL TICKETS BE AVAILABLE THE DAY OF THE MUSIC FEST?

We're not sure at this point in time. It is very possible that this music fest will sell out in advance. We encourage attendees to purchase your tickets early as well as rent a pop-up Tent space in "Tent Alley" if you are interested!  There will be a limited number of VIP Experience tickets sold for the event as well as a limited number of "Tent Alley" spaces (25) available for people to rent for the day.  All pop up tents are provided by the music fest, if you rent a Tent Alley space, you DO NOT have to bring a tent.

 

 

\\WHERE DO I PARK? AND WHAT IS THE FEE TO PARK?

There are two parking lots at the Tail Winds Music Fest; the General Admission Lot ($10 per vehicle) and the VIP Lot ($25 per vehicle). Both lots are on-site at the Hudson Valley Regional Airport (no shuttles required). The VIP Lot is on asphalt and there are a LIMITED number of spots and is a much shorter walk from the Festival entrance! General admission ticket-holders ARE allowed to park in the VIP Lot as long they purchase a VIP Parking Pass. Parking lots open at 10am on day of the event.  NO OVERNIGHT PARKING PERMITTED!!!

We highly encourage carpooling (and don't forget to designate a sober driver) or using Uber. Buy your Parking Pass!

\\WHAT'S INCLUDED IN MY GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET?

A general admission entry to the Tail Winds Music Fest is at 11:00am.  There is no reserved seating.  Buy Your Tickets! All Sales are Final, NO REFUNDS.

\\WHAT'S INCLUDED IN MY VIP EXPERIENCE TICKET?

Our VIP Experience is the ultimate way to experience the Tail Winds Music Fest. All Sales are Final, NO REFUNDS. 

The VIP Experience includes one music fest ticket as well as:

- Access to the VIP hospitality lounge tent with complimentary snacks, hors d’oeuvres, all you can eat hot buffet from 2pm - 8pm, desserts, coffee and discounted cash bar.

- Comfortable seating with couches, tables and chairs

- Access to the VIP Viewing Area in front of the Main Stage

- Private Restrooms

- You must be 21 years of age or older in order to purchase a VIP ticket.

\\ARE LOCKERS AVAILABLE AT THE MUSIC FEST?

You can store your valuable belongings & clothing, without having to worry about loss or theft. You can rent a locker during the weekend/day. The lockers can be found just past the festival entrance. During the opening hours, lockers are continuously under surveillance. The lockers are always accessible for the people who rent them.  There are different sizes of lockers available so you can choose the one that fits your needs.  Lockers for Tail Winds Music Fest can be bought in advance. \\WHAT IS TENT ALLEY?

There is a section of 25 Tents located to the left of the stage that runs along the fence line that are available for purchase. This ad-on music festival space offers concert goers their own place to kick back, take a break from the sun and listen to the music or relax between shows.  Each tent is approximately 10' x 10' in size which is provided by the music fest and easily can fit 6 chairs (attendees bring their own chairs).  You do NOT have to bring a tent.  Each attendee MUST also purchase an individual music fest ticket.  Tent Alley spots are limited to 25, so don't wait to rent yours, get one Today!!!  All sales are final, no refunds.

\\CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?

You are permitted to bring your children but please note that this is a music festival that will have rock bands performing and there will be adult beverages served throughout the day to anyone of the appropriate age.  So it is at your own discretion if you wish to bring your children to the event.  Children 16 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times at the music fest.  Any children 12 years of age and under are $25.  Please purchase your tickets by clicking on this link.

\\CAN I BRING MY PETS?

We love animals and pets of all kinds BUT unfortunately we cannot allow pets into the festival. Service animals are allowed with proper documentation.

\\WHAT YOU CAN NOT BRING IN TO MUSIC FEST

All persons entering the venue are subject to search for prohibited items including but not limited to:

  • Metal, plastic and glass containers of any kind

  • Alcohol

  • Backpacks and large bags over 14”x14”

  • Large flags and banners

  • Poles and staffs (metal, plastic, or wooden)

  • Weapons of any kind

  • Food and beverages

  • Professional cameras (DSLR, with detachable zoom lenses and/or tripods)

  • Video cameras

  • Drones of any kind

  • No animals (with the exception of service animals)

  • Fireworks

  • Whistles

  • Laser pointers

  • Umbrellas

  • Contraband

  • Controlled Substances

  • No coolers or containers of any size

  • Missile/projectile like objects

  • No frisbees or inflated balls of any kind

  • Whistles, air horns of any kind

\\OTHER IMPORTANT FAQ's

Management reserves the right, without the refund of any portion of the ticket purchase price, to refuse admission or to eject any person who fails to comply with the rules of the venue, local, state or federal law, or whose conduct is deemed illegal, disorderly, or offensive by management.

Ticket user assumes all risks of personal injury incidental to the event, whether occurring prior to, during or subsequent to the event.

Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotion, (including contests ad sweepstakes) or other trade purposes without the express written consent of CM-MC Festivals, Inc.

Dutchess County property prohibits any tailgating prior to, during or after the event at the Hudson Valley Regional Airport.

Festival wristbands are NOT transferrable once applied to a patron's wrist.

Line-up ad set times are subject to change.
